Monday October 31

                                                                            Happy Halloween!

Today we had lots of excitement over seeing everyone's costumes. We started our morning with arrival centers.

We watched " Ten Timid Ghosts" and then played a guessing ghost game. We had to guess which classmates were hiding behind the sheet.

PM kindergarten practiced sequencing numbers from 1-10 by cutting out the numbers and pasting them in order. We learned a number math game and played with a partner.

AM Kindergarten had music and gym. Ask them what they did.

We had a movie and popcorn for all the students.

We hope everyone has a safe and fun halloween evening!!

If you would like to add some learning fun into Halloween, here are some ideas below to do with your child.

1. Ask your child to sort their candy by size, shape, colour. type etc.

2. Have them count the number of each kind.

3. Have them count the number of pieces of candy in each small box.

4. Identify the letters on the package they know. Can they find the whole alphabet? Do they know the sound that the letters make?

Volunteers Needed AM Class Friday November 4

We are planning to go for a community walk on Friday November 4, weather permitting and are looking for 6 volunteers to join us.  If you have a current police screening and would like to join us, please email your child's teacher.

Kindergarten is looking for empty Kleenex boxes.  Each child needs an empty box for an upcoming project in November.  Please send us your empty Kleenex boxes the week of October 31.  If you are able to send more than one box, we would greatly appreciate it.
