Today we had an exciting day at school. It was funky socks day and we created our gingerbread traps. We met with the Hubner/Kelly/ Low Grade 3/4 Triad to help us with our Gingerbread Traps. Kindergarten has been reading many Gingerbread stories and read "How to Catch a Gingerbread" to get our inspiration for our traps. We started with making our plan yesterday and  today went to the makerspace to bring our plan to life. Our buddies helped us with cutting and gluing. We had so much fun! All the traps are very creative.  We had to make sure our traps followed our criteria which was that the trap had to have at least 4 items, the gingerbread person needed to fit in the trap and it needed to be inviting to the gingerbread person.    Festive Days in December We are excited to have teachers and students have the option to participate in a school wide "Four Festive Days in December" during the last week of school before Winter Break.     Wed, Dec.21  Holiday ...

Today we talked about what setting means . We looked at the gingerbread stories that we have read and looked at the settings in the stories. We then used loose parts to create a setting from one of the stories. We used our gingerbread puppets we made to retell the story of the gingerbread man.  We read, Snowball" and then looked at a math problem, "What can you make with 10 snowballs?" The children drew pictures and had to number the snowballs from 1-10. Ask your child what they made.  AM Kindergarten went to the gym.  PM Kindergarten got to watch the Winter Concert put on by the Grade 1-4 Choir group.
