Wednesday June 14
Today was Writing Wednesday, we wrote about our favourite thing about Coulee School. We focused on drawing a picture with lots of details and practiced writing a sentence. We are looking at using a capital letter at the beginning of the sentence, spaces between our words and a period at the end of the sentence.
AM Kindergarten had music.
We learned about subtraction today. We practiced with subtracting from the number 10. We played a few games to help us with our understanding.
AM Kindergarten learned about Spiders and PM Kindergarten learned about Bees. We read stories and books to learn some interesting facts. We did a guided drawing and then used watercolours to paint it.
This Friday is our field trip to Butterfield Acres. Thank you to everyone that has completed their forms. Please send in the field trip form ASAP if you have not already done so. We also would like to say a huge thank you for all the parents volunteering to come with us. We appreciate it greatly!

The Bowles/Palmer Grade 1/2s have been learning about financial literacy in Wellness. We have learned that there are three different ways to use money: spend, save, and share. While learning about sharing (charity) we have decided to hold a Children's Used Book Sale to raise money for a charity that helps newcomers to Canada from Ukraine.
