Tuesday November 1
We had new arrivals this morning. Many of the centers are focused on letters, counting and printing.
We read a letter S story and talked about all the things that start with S. We learned the jolly phonics letter s song to help us with the letter sound. We make our hand into a snake and wave it as we make the "s" sound. We practiced printing the letter s on whiteboards. We learned that we always start our letters at the top of the page. We used our new printing books and practiced printing the letter s and drew 3 things that start with the letter s. See if your child can find things that begin with S at home.
We learned a new math game called splat. We started with 5 counters and our partner had to hide some chips under the splat (cardboard cut out)We had to try and figure out how many counters were hidden under the splat.
PM Kindergarten had music with Mrs. Coulson.
