Thursday December 15

Today we talked about what setting means . We looked at the gingerbread stories that we have read and looked at the settings in the stories. We then used loose parts to create a setting from one of the stories. We used our gingerbread puppets we made to retell the story of the gingerbread man.

We read, Snowball" and then looked at a math problem, "What can you make with 10 snowballs?" The children drew pictures and had to number the snowballs from 1-10. Ask your child what they made.

AM Kindergarten went to the gym. PM Kindergarten got to watch the Winter Concert put on by the Grade 1-4 Choir group. Congratulations to the choir for all their hard work!

Next week, we are making gingerbread traps to catch a gingerbread man. We are looking for recycled materials such as kleenex boxes, cereal boxes, paper towel rolls, shoe boxes, wrapping paper, bows, popsicle sticks, bubble wrap, clean yogurt containers, etc for the project. If you can send in any items, we would greatly appreciate it. Please send them in by Monday December 19.
