Thursday April 6

Today was a fun day at school!  We continued working on "what does the shape say" and explored spheres.  We turned our sphere into a ball and wrote the description of a sphere.

We did a guided drawing of a rabbit and then we used loose parts to make houses for our bunnies.

We went outside to draw shapes on the ground with chalk. We looked around to notice what shapes we see in our community. We had to do some challenges of drawing shapes that were larger than ourselves or small than our foot.

The PM class had music with Mrs. Coulson.

Lion King Play - as a school we will be presenting the Lion King in May.  Kindergarten will be involved in the show as members of the "Pride Land".  Please watch your email for show dates and ticket information.  As part of the production we are asking that every child bring in a ball cap that fits their child's head well, to use as part of their costume for our Lion King production in May.   Please put your child's name on the inside of the hat.  The hat will not to be returned in its original condition.  We will be turning the hats into animals, using fabric, felt and foam that is attached with glue guns.  We are also asking if any family has a second ball cap that they could donate, it would be appreciated.  Please send in the ball caps by April 11th so kids can start using it to create their costume for the production.  Please note:  all Kindergarten children will be asked to wear all black clothes (pants and shirt) for the show.  If need be, clothing can be turned inside out so that it is solid black.  Thank you so much for your help!  *** Thank you to those families who have sent hats in already - much appreciated! ***
