Monday June 19

Today was a great day at school!  We had centers and snack.  The AM kids had music and gym.  The PM kids learned about dragonfly's and did a guided drawing of a dragonfly.

We did a drawing of animals that we saw at Butterfield Acres on Friday.  We used our sharpies to draw the pictures and our pencil crayons to colour the animals.  We tried to write the animal name by each drawing.

In math, we continue to work on subtraction.  Today we used playdoh that we had rolled into 10 balls.  Then we took some of the balls away to find out how many were left.

The Bowles/Palmer Grade 1/2s have been learning about financial literacy in Wellness. We have learned that there are three different ways to use money: spend, save, and share.  While learning about sharing (charity) we have decided to hold a Children's Used Book Sale to raise money for a charity that helps newcomers to Canada from Ukraine.

On Tuesday, June 20th. Students will have the opportunity to bring a loonie to purchase up to four books.
Thank you for supporting our students' charitable spirit.
